Our Story

 Restaurant Calypso Grill has a rich history for bringing people together bringing warmth and style in a beautiful setting and is celebrated for its joyfulness and heartfelt cooking. Located right on the water in Morgan's Harbour it is easy to be mesmerized by the magic of this place. 

There are so many favourite inspired dishes on the menu that have been part of the restaurant since the beginning, including Wahoo Escoveitch, Lobster & Shrimp Champagne, Mango Shrimp, Crab Cakes, Ginger Tuna and of course the very famous “Sticky Toffee Pudding” which even the nearby street is named after it ‘Sticky Toffee Lane’ 

Sticky Toffee Pudding is a firm favourite of many of our guests who will travel many miles in anticipation for the joy of this pudding. The lightest sponge with sweet toffee sauce, served warm with the option of heavy cream and vanilla ice cream. 

EXECUTIVE CONSULTANT CHEF & AUTHOR - EMILY SCOTT

 Emily Scott is a chef, author and Executive Consultant Chef of the Calypso Grill. For Emily less is more. Her cooking ethos focusses around taking a few seasonal ingredients and letting them shine. Her classical training in London and France helped form the backbone of her cooking style. Emily has successfully run three restaurants over the past two decades in England. In 2021 Emily was commissioned by the Cabinet Office to curate a special dinner for Royalty and the World Leaders at the G7 summit. In 2021 Emily’s debut cookbook Sea & Shore: Recipes and Stories from a Kitchen in Cornwall was published by Hardie Grant UK, and more recently in 2023 her second book was published Time & Tide: Recipes and Stories from my Coastal Kitchen. GENERAL MANAGER -  LISA MACAULAY

 Lisa Macaulay has been with Calypso Grill team since the beginning and is an important part of Calypso Grill's history. Lisa is a well known face on the island and is a wonderful host, having the ability to move effortlessly around the restaurant floor making time for everyone. 

HEAD CHEF - KYE BYFORD

Formerly of Emily’s restaurant Emily Scott Food in Cornwall, England, is leading the kitchen at Calypso Grill. Having worked together for over six years, Kye is an ambassador for Emily’s brand and ethos, and under guidance from Emily they are working together to create consistency and elevate the dishes. Kye is in incredibly excited to have this wonderful opportunity.
